Tiffany Janay: My Journal

I suck at journaling... - March 4, 2010

Life has been changing so much for me that sometimes I'm not sure which part is the dream and which part is reality. Perhaps they are both the same.

I'm living off of the spirit and allowing it to guide me exactly where I need to be and it is working out beautifully!!!

I have been meeting so many new people and am surrounded by love.

People that are lending me knowledge and guidance are an abundance right now and I am so thankful.

I'm learning that in this world knowledge is King.

Pancake recipe - March 6, 2009

Because I'm vegan, I get asked often "so, what do you eat?" I decided to start sharing with you what it is I eat. Let me first say that I loooove food! At any given moment if you mind check me, odds are I'm probably thinking about something good that I'd like to cook. With that its important to me that I never feel like I am starving myself or sacrificing.

I cook everything that my family eats from scractch. All made without the addition of chemicals or animal products.

Here's the pancake recipe that I use. I got it from www.vegweb.com which has 1000's of great recipes. Check them out and experiment.

Best Tasting Pancakes Ever! Vegan or Otherwise

1 cup white all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup applesauce
1 cup soymilk (I use almond milk)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Directions:

Mix wet ingredients in a medium sized bowl. Mix dry ingredients in a larger bowl.

Pour wet ingredients into dry - mix well until smooth consistency.

Drop onto medium heat (preheated) pan. Flip over when each pancake begins to bubble on top.

Serve with vegan buttery spread (if desired) and maple syrup.

I use Earth Balance as a vegan butter. Taste so yummy :) And usually I use pure maple syrup but because I didn't have the extra money to get that this time, I used an alternative maple syrup and agave blend from Trader Joe's which cost around $3.00. Way better than that chemical creation syrup that you usually find at regular stores.

Feeding the Children Round Nations - March 3, 2009

Last week on my talk show, we bought back a guest we had on in Novemember, Lauren Von Der Pool. She is a celebrity chef and she is also a raw vegan. I love this woman, her spirit is divine.

She came back on to share with our listeners a charity that she has since developed. Its called Feeding the Children 'Round Nations.

She just aquired 200 acres of land in Ocho Rios Jamaica and will be using the land to farm organically and set up a camp that kids can visit for 3 weeks at a time. At this camp she will be teaching and feeding the kids exotic fruits and vegetables while at the same time educating them about the importance of good nutritrion.

She is also teaching them about meditation and that in order for them to be successful in life, they need not search anywhere else but inside of them.

It is divine that we have all found each other because what she is doing is something I've been planning in my mind to eventually set up and do. Not exactly the same plan of execution as hers but similiar in the fact of educating our next generation about the importance of proper nutrition and just being still.

I love it!!! Please support this.

Thank you.
TJ

P.S. to hear Lauren speak about her foundation please go to my show page at www.blogtalkradio.com/Tiffany-Janay She was on the last 30 minutes of the show with Tony Williams.

Video blogs - January 11, 2009

I'm making it my goal for 2009 and to be consistent on staying reachable to everyone. As I am accomplishing more and more of my goals, my time gets allocated in all different directions. One of the most important attributes to my life and rise of my career, is the relationships I develop. Everyone I meet I always approach the situation as making you a life long friend. Why not?

So as part of my goal to stay reachable and keeping you in the loop of my growth, I will be doing more blogging and in particular, video blogging. I love the personal touch of video blogging, it makes us feel the experience together.

Anyways, check back often, I plan to update this at least once a week with my personal outings, or business related one. But its the entertainment business so you know its going to be....entertaining!

Write me back with a video blog of your own. Let's keep it going. Leave me comments so I know you see me :)

Talk soon.
